Winter Wonderland Retreat

 

A thought for the weekend
As one family who loves Minnesota's “North Country”,
     socializing with friends over a morning cup of coffee 
         or a relaxing evening dinner,
     taking part in the invigorating outdoor activities 
               or relishing in the peace and quiet; 
we thought there could be nothing more enjoyable 
     than to round up a group of families 
               who have an uncanny amount of fun 
     whenever they get together 
               and show the new MPA families
just how much fun they, too, can have! 

 
Who: All 10th Graders, their families including siblings
What: A weekend get-away, as busy or quiet as you like
Where: "Up-North" at Lutsen Resort & Sea Villas
When: Martin Luther King weekend, Jan 16th -19th, 2004
Friday (or as soon as you can get there) through Monday morning's brunch

11/2/03 NEWS:

  • Please send a quick e-mail to let us know if you or your child(ren) are planning to attend.  This is a great help as if we know you aren’t attending, we will not send you follow up letters or emails.  Send the note to camilletennis@comcast.net
  • Web Site Update:  The site has been updated to reflect this years dates and info as much as possible.  Several things are still in from last years information as "placeholders" so you can see what's coming.  I've marked them as old info
  • There IS school on Friday this year, along with some other weekend commitments, such as the WINTER SHOW and some sporting events.  Last year parents carpooled kids at staggered departures so everyone interested could do their sports and plays and still make it to Lutsen.
  • Cross country skiing took off last year.  There was more interest than snow, but we’ve been assured that this year will be much different.  Stay tuned for more info.
  • We are planning to continue with the traditional Sunday evening DJ/dance.  If the 10th graders aren’t interested, younger siblings or parents can have at it….shake it but don’t break it!
  • Many kids have been able to enjoy the weekend by driving up with another MPA family.  You may want to consider this as an alternative for some not being able to attend otherwise
