| Q. | Will Bill cry at the closing dinner? |
| A. | Does the sun rise in the east? Need you ask!! |
| Q. | Can I bring "guest" class of 2006 members? |
| A. | Yes! In the past, number of kids have had the opportunity to partake in this great weekend by coming as a guest of another family. You and your child may want to discuss if there is a friend who could benefit from your kindness and hospitality that otherwise may not come. |
| Q. | Can I bring siblings and/or sibling guests? |
| A. | Yes! Definitely bring any and all siblings, this is a family event. In the past, several families have also brought along a guest from the siblings class so that the brother/sister would have someone closer to their age to be with. |
| Q. |
Can kids have "private" parties? |
| A. |
We all work very hard to make this a “feel-good, community-building weekend. As much as we parents enjoy this time, it is a tribute to our children. Please do not negate the “good” that this weekend generates by endorsing small party get-togethers that tend to appear exclusive to those not in attendance. While it is natural to hang with groups we are comfortable with, the small “in-room” parties and sleep-overs can be enjoyed in St. Paul. Let’s keep the smile on all the kid’s faces. |
| Q. | How do I contact the Lutsen Resort? |
| A. | The phone number for the Lutsen Lodge is: (800) 258-8736 and web site is www.lutsenresort.com |
| Q. | Do I have to stay at a Lutsen Resort property? |
| A. | No. Many families have cabins in the area and stay there. Some families have stayed in the condo's on the mountain. It all depends on your situation. The important thing is to have fun with the group! |
| Q. | What meals and expenses will be added to my lodging package? |
| A. | In addition to your room/cabin charges, the
lodging package will include:
|
| Q. | Will snowboarders be able to
participate in the Saturday race? |
| A. | Bill is working with the mountain personnel to allow both skiers and snow boarders to race the course. |
| Q. |
What kind of race is it? |
| A. |
If things work out, the course will again be more of a GS (Giant Slalom) format: one that will be longer, utilizing more of the mountain, with more gradual turns. |
| Q. | Where can I rent equipment? |
| A. | There are several local rental shops. Check out the Playing in the White Stuff page for details |
| Q. | What kind of pool toys can I bring? |
| A. | Per Lutsen Resort: Items may be brought for the kid's enjoyment in the pool as long as they are not so large as to take up too much room nor should a water toy block the view of a child who may be under the floating device in the water. Items ok'd by Lutsen are noodles, boogie boards and balls. The hotel does not have pool toys, so bring what you may want to use. Leave the scuba gear at home. |
| Q. |
Who will be watching the kids
during the Sat. dinner & Sun. dance? |
| A. |
Parents will be taking 20-minute shifts watching the action so it doesn’t get out of hand. This will keep the activity and noise down to an acceptable level throughout the Lodge. You'll receive a schedule showing your shift in your check-in package. |
| Q. | Is Camille's traditional side trip to Grand Marais a strenuous outing? |
| A. | No, you don't have to lift anything heavier than a VISA card. |
Please check back often!
