This is a first beta release of our v2.0 SVG switcher, that has recently been updated to
allow switching Adobe's v6 viewer as well.
It has only been tested on Windows MX and 2000 so far, and there are probably many bugs left.
SVG Switch allows developers to have the Adobe v3, v6 and Corel v1 SVG viewers working on their PC at the same time.
It sits in your system-tray, showing either A3, A6 or C1 as icon.
If you click on it, it cycles through these three choices, toggeling registry values so that Internet Explorer uses the appropriate SVG viewer.
Switching between Adobe and Corel viewers only requires refreshing the browser. If you want to switch between Adobe v3 and v6, you need to close and re-open the browser window.
This 'limitation' has the advantage that you can run your SVG on ASV3, toggle the switch, and open your SVG in a second browser window, running ASV3 and ASV6 at the same time.
Right-clicking on the tray-icon allows you to dissable SVG or SWF(Flash) all together, for testing purposes.
You'll need the three SVG viewers, and the SVGSwitch program:
The order of setting things up is important - the switch might not work if you skip a step because you already have one of the viewers installed.
Watch-out 1: notice that ASV6 is installed before ASV3 - important.
Watch-out 2: if don't install viewers in their default location, things might not work.
You'll find the SVGSwitch link in your Start/Programs menu. If you drag it to the Startup folder, SVGSwitch will always be in your system-tray after you restart your PC.
